Strategic decision-making intensive
This five-day residential programme takes place at our training centre near Belfast. Days one and two cover cognitive bias recognition: anchoring, sunk cost fallacy, confirmation bias and groupthink. We use case studies drawn from real boardroom failures (anonymised, naturally) rather than hypothetical scenarios.
Days three and four shift to scenario planning. Participants build three-horizon models for their own organisations, stress-test assumptions with peer panels and practise pre-mortem analysis. The final day is devoted to building a personal decision protocol: a written, repeatable process each participant commits to using for the next 90 days.
- Cohort size: 8 to 12 participants
- Pre-work: online self-assessment (approx. 45 minutes)
- Post-programme: two follow-up coaching calls at 30 and 60 days
Senior team alignment workshop
Misalignment at the top ripples through every layer of an organisation. This two-day workshop is designed for intact leadership teams of four to ten people who need to agree on strategic priorities, role boundaries or operating rhythm.
On day one each team member completes a structured interview with our facilitator before the group convenes. We use a protocol called "red-flag surfacing" where disagreements are made visible on a shared board, ranked by impact and then worked through in moderated debate. By the end of day one the team has a prioritised list of unresolved tensions.
Day two focuses on resolution and commitment. Each tension gets a named owner, a deadline and an agreed success measure. We close with a written team charter that every member signs. Six weeks later we return for a half-day review to see what stuck and what slipped.
- Delivered on-site at your offices or at our centre
- Pre-work: 30-minute confidential interview per team member
- Deliverable: signed team charter with accountability map
One-to-one executive coaching
Our coaching engagements last twelve weeks. Each participant meets their coach fortnightly for 90 minutes, either in person or by video call. Between sessions the participant works on specific tasks: a difficult conversation they have been avoiding, a board paper they need to write, a hiring decision they are stuck on.
The engagement begins with a 360-degree feedback round. We interview five to seven of the participant's colleagues, direct reports and board members using a structured questionnaire. The coach synthesises these into a confidential feedback report that forms the basis of the first session.
At the twelve-week mark, the participant and their coach produce a one-page development plan with measurable targets. The participant's sponsor (usually their line manager or chair) reviews this plan and agrees ongoing support. We have found that this sponsor involvement doubles the likelihood that behaviour changes persist beyond the coaching period.
- Six fortnightly sessions of 90 minutes each
- 360-degree feedback included in the fee
- Written development plan shared with sponsor
- Optional three-month extension at reduced rate
Custom programme design
Some organisations need something that does not fit neatly into our standard offerings. We have designed custom programmes for a regional bank that was merging two leadership cultures, a technology firm promoting fifteen engineers into management for the first time and a charity whose trustees wanted governance training tailored to their sector.
The process starts with a scoping call where we learn about your context, participants and desired outcomes. We then produce a programme outline within ten working days, including session topics, facilitator bios and a fee estimate. After one round of revisions we finalise the design and schedule delivery.
Custom programmes range from a single half-day session to a six-month blended learning journey. Pricing depends on participant numbers, facilitator time and whether you want the programme accredited through a university partner.
- Scoping call and written proposal at no charge
- Minimum engagement: one half-day session
- University accreditation available on request
How an engagement typically works
From first conversation to programme delivery, here is what to expect.
-
Discovery call
A 30-minute phone or video call where we learn about your organisation, the participants and what you want to change. No fee, no obligation.
-
Proposal and scoping
Within ten working days we send a written proposal covering programme structure, facilitator profiles, logistics and pricing. You review it, suggest changes and we revise once at no extra cost.
-
Pre-programme preparation
Participants complete a short online self-assessment or 360-degree feedback round, depending on the programme. This gives facilitators real data to work with from day one rather than starting cold.
-
Programme delivery
Sessions run at our Belfast-area centre, at your offices or in a hybrid format. Group sizes stay between four and twelve to keep discussions productive and give each person direct coaching time.
-
Follow-up and measurement
Every programme includes at least one structured follow-up session. We measure participant satisfaction, behavioural change (via manager feedback) and, where possible, business impact. You receive a written summary report.
Common questions
If your question is not answered here, call us or send a message through the home page enquiry form.
For open cohort programmes, we recommend booking at least six weeks ahead. Seats fill quickly in January and September. Custom programmes need eight to twelve weeks of lead time depending on complexity.
Yes. We regularly run on-site sessions in London, Edinburgh, Manchester and Dublin. Travel and accommodation costs for facilitators are quoted separately and kept transparent. We also offer a fully remote option for geographically spread teams.
Cancellations made more than 21 days before the programme start date receive a full refund. Between 21 and 7 days, we refund 50 per cent. Within 7 days, we offer a transfer to a future cohort rather than a refund. Custom programmes have their own terms agreed during scoping.
Our standard programmes come with a Leadership ProFocus certificate of completion. For custom engagements we can arrange accreditation through a university partner, which carries CPD points. This adds to the cost and timeline, so we discuss it during scoping.
Our facilitators are former COOs, divisional directors and managing partners with an average of nineteen years in operational leadership. All hold coaching qualifications from recognised bodies such as the ICF or EMCC. We match facilitator expertise to participant seniority and sector.
